Product Introduction
Description
Cementitious waterproofing membranes, commonly known as cement-based coatings, are a type of waterproofing material used to prevent water ingress into structures such as roofs, walls, and foundations. In this blog post, we will introduce you to cementitious waterproofing membranes, their production processes, applications, properties, environmental impact, and more.
Features
The properties of cementitious waterproofing membranes depend on various factors, including the type of cement used, the additives added, and the application method. Some of the common properties of cementitious waterproofing membranes are:
1. Durable: They are highly resistant to mechanical damage, UV radiation, and temperature changes, making them long-lasting.
2. Flexible: They can adapt to the movement of building structures and remain intact.
3. Breathable: They allow moisture to escape from the concrete, preventing damage from freeze-thaw cycles.
4. Adhesive: They can adhere to various surfaces, such as concrete, brick, and metal.
Environmental impact:
Cementitious waterproofing membranes have a minimal environmental impact as they are made of natural materials and can be recycled. Additionally, they do not emit harmful fumes or toxic chemicals, making them safe for use.
Technical Data
Solid content: ≥70%
Flexibility at Low Temperature: -10ºC
Elongation: ≥200%
Adhesive Strength: ≥0.5MPa
Water Impermeability, 0.3Mpa, 30min Impervious
Applications
Cementitious waterproofing membranes are commonly used in many applications, including:
1. Roofs: They are used to protect the roof from water intrusion and prevent water from damaging the underlying structure.
2. Foundations: They are applied to the exterior of the foundation walls to prevent water from seeping into the basement.
3. Walls: They are applied to the interior or exterior of the walls to provide a waterproof barrier and protect the wall from moisture damage.

Production process
Cementitious waterproofing membranes are made by mixing cement, sand, additives, and water. The mixture is then applied to the surface in multiple coats, which form a seamless, durable, and waterproof membrane. The process of applying the membrane varies depending on the surface and the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Construction Method
Electric stir evenly of liquid and powder by different proportion:
typeⅠ: liquid: powder=1:1
typeⅡ: liquid: powder=1:1.5
Recommended usage: 2.2-2.5kg/m2·mm
Package: Liquid: 20kg/plastic pail, Powder: 20kg/bag. Packed in pallet.
Shelf life: When the temperature is from 5ºC to 40ºC, the valid time is one and half a year.
Packaging, Storage and Transportation
Storage in dry and cool place to avoid sun and rain. No freeze. Warehouse storage temp is better between five to forty Celsius.
