Application

SBS elastomeric bitumen is suitable for the waterproofing of roofs, basements, toilets, roads, bridges, tunnels, grain depots, parking lots, swimming pools, artificial lakes, anti-seepage canals, cabins, roof gardens, urban greening and other projects of industrial and civil buildings.

Construction technology

The membrane can be constructed by hot-melt method or cold-bond method alone, or by a combination of cold and heat. Cold-bond method is for the large areas, and hot-melt method is for the lap joints.

Hot Melt Method

Use a special hot-melt tool such as a hot-melt spray gun or a hot-melt asphalt truck to bake the lower surface of the waterproofing membrane on the large surface of the membrane, so that the asphalt on the surface of the membrane is shiny to a molten state. Press the roller to make it stick firmly with the waterproof membrane or the base layer. The overlapping area of the membrane should be edge-sealed separately, and the method of hot-melting should also be used for construction. The lap joint of the upper and lower membranes shall be the degree of modified asphalt overflowing with hot-melt, and the width is about 2mm. The hot melt method is the most common construction method.
