Installing a PVC waterproof deck membrane on plywood is a simple process. Here are the steps involved:
1. Prepare the surface of the plywood deck- Before you begin installing the membrane, you need to make sure that the surface is clean and smooth. Remove any debris, dirt or other materials that may be stuck to the plywood. Make sure that the wood is completely dry before you start.
2. Measure the area- Measure the area of the deck where you want to install the membrane. Make sure that you have enough membrane to cover the entire area. You can do this by using a tape measure.
3. Apply the adhesive- Next, you need to apply the adhesive to the surface of the plywood deck. You can do this by using a roller or a brush. Make sure that you cover the entire area with the adhesive.
4. Install the PVC membrane- After you have applied the adhesive, it's time to install the PVC membrane. Start at one end of the deck and slowly work your way to the other end. Make sure that you press the membrane firmly and smooth out any air pockets.
5. Cut the edges- After you have installed the membrane, you need to cut the edges. Use a sharp knife to cut the membrane to the size and shape of the deck.
6. Finish the edges- Finally, you need to finish the edges of the PVC waterproof deck membrane. You can use a piece of aluminium or another metal material to cover the edges of the membrane. This will give it a clean and finished look.
