Production Process
The manufacturing process for the butyl waterproofing tape involves three primary steps. The first step is the preparation of the butyl rubber compound, which involves blending butyl rubber with various fillers, stabilizers, and adhesives. The second step is the extrusion process, which involves passing the rubber compound through an extrusion machine to form continuous strips of tape. The final step is the curing process, which involves exposing the tape to a controlled temperature environment to promote the cross-linking of the rubber compound, leading to improved strength and durability.
Construction Conditions
The external waterproofing membrane is best applied during dry weather conditions. The surface to be waterproofed should be free of dirt, debris, and other contaminants to ensure proper adhesion. The application temperature of the tape should be between 5°C and 40°C, and ambient humidity should be below 80%. Additionally, the surface should be primed with an appropriate primer before application to ensure proper adhesion.
